WDI Inspection
Wood Destroying Insect Report
“Make sure your investment isn’t going to be something else’s lunch.”
When a home is sold, the lender sometimes requires what is referred to as a “Wood Destroying Inspection Report,” more commonly known as a WDI Inspection. This report is issued by a licensed pest control company and indicates whether the home shows any signs of infestation from termites and/or other wood-destroying insects at the time of inspection.
The buyer may also request a WDI Inspection to ensure that termites and other wood-destroying insects are not compromising the structural integrity of the home.
*Higher Standard Home Inspections offers this service through a third party pest control company. The pest control specialist will perform the inspection for wood-destroying insects, complete all necessary paperwork, and answer any questions regarding the findings of his inspection.
